Sprayer at CVM World

Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary - Starting at £12 per hour
Full-Time, Permanent (Monday to Thursday 8.00-4.30pm and Friday 8.00-1.30pm)

CVM World is a rapidly growing family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer converting vans and selling high quality used vehicles. We are a manufacturer of Peugeot and Ford approved van conversions and our customers include the Construction, Education, Care, Charity and Voluntary sectors.

We are looking for an experienced paint sprayer to join our team in Knypersley. We specialise in converting panel vans into a range of products and we build on new and high quality used vehicles from all manufacturers. It is an exciting time to join the company as we have recently expanded into the rapidly growing campervan and welfare van market. In addition to this, we have launched our own customised version of the Ford Ranger.

The successful candidate will be a time-served sprayer capable of spraying vehicles to a high standard. They will have a good eye for detail as the role will also include a finishing element to ensure that all aspects of the vehicle are in the best possible condition when it is received by the customer. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in all stages of vehicle preparation before it enters the spray booth, including light panel beating, filling, sand and masking.

KEY TASKS:
  •   Spraying vehicles/vehicle repairs to a high standard
  •   Preparing the vehicle for spraying (including light filling, sanding and masking)
  •   Finishing vehicles to a high standard (including wheels, trims, door shuts and seat bases/flooring)
  •   Ensure compliance with all operating procedures and standards (including health and safety)
  •   Supporting the spray shop supervisor to help ensure that the workshop runs efficiently and that all deadlines are met

Panel Beater at CVM World

We are looking for an experienced Panel Beater to join our team in Knypersley. We specialise in converting panel vans into a range of products and we build on new and high-quality used vehicles from all manufacturers. Key tasks:
  •   Stripping and refitting vehicle components
  •   The repair or replacement of vehicle panels
  •   Ensuring that all work carried out meets acceptable safety and quality standards
  •   Keeping all work areas clean and tidy, free from hazards and compliant with current H&S legislation
  •   Accurately reporting all components, materials and consumables used
  •   Supporting the body shop supervisor to help ensure that the workshop runs efficiently and that all deadlines are met
  •   Other duties and responsibilities as required
Skills and experience:
  •   A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a bodyshop/ accident repair centre as a panel beater
  •   ATA or NVQ Qualified or qualified through time served
  •   Conversant with the requirements of BS10125 (this is desirable but not essential)

Stores Person at CVM World

Full-Time - Monday–Friday - Full Time, 39 Hours (Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am – 1.00pm)

CVM World is a family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer, converting vans to minibuses, welfare vehicles and campervans as well as selling high quality used vehicles. Our customers include the Construction, Education, Care, Charity and Voluntary sectors.

We specialise in converting Peugeot Boxer panel vans into minibuses, some of which are fully accessible with either on-board or underfloor lifts and electric steps. However, we build on all vehicles, including high quality used vans. It is an exciting time to join the company as recently we have recently expanded into the campervan and welfare van market.

We require an experienced Stores Person who is organised, has strong communication skills, good attention to detail and solid computer skills. The successful candidate will need to be cooperative, flexible, conscientious and efficient with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Due to the varied nature and fast pace of the role a high level of flexibility is required to cope with the continual demands of learning new products and parts as we extend the range of vehicles we convert.

The role:
  •   General stores and warehouse duties
  •   Checking orders on arrival
  •   Supervision of goods in and goods out
  •   Updating the database accurately
  •   Monitoring stock levels making sure the information gets reported back to the team leader
  •   Stock takes when requested
  •   Picking parts in accordance with the picking list
  •   Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring they are suitably packed
  •   Identifying shortages and informing purchasing/production control
  •   Checking paperwork for accuracy
  •   Communicating with suppliers either by telephone or email
  •   Ensure the general tidiness of workplace and quality and health and safety standards are maintained at all times
  •   To perform other duties as assigned from time to time
  •   Full UK driving licence
Having a current forklift licence and a background of working with fasteners and fixings is also desirable but not essential.
