Minibus World, based on the Staffordshire/Cheshire border is a leading UK manufacturer of Wheelchair Accessible Minibuses. Our vehicles are equipped to comply with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER).
What are the LOLER Regulations?
LOLER regulations help to reduce the risk in operating Wheelchair Accessible Minibuses. As part of the health and safety regulations for companies and individuals who own, operate or have control over lifting equipment. Equipment used for lifting must also be fit for purpose, appropriate for the task, suitably marked and thoroughly examined.
What equipment is covered by the LOLER Regulations?
The Regulations cover a wide range of equipment. Most applicable to our wheelchair accessible mini buses are:
Onboard Lift
Onboard Split Lift
Underfloor Lift
However, the regulations are applicable to any equipment used at work for lifting or lowering of loads including individuals.
Do the Regulations apply to me?
Whether an employer or self-employed person who’s providing lifting equipment for use at work, such as an onboard lift for Wheelchair Accessibility to a Minibus, or have control of the use of lifting equipment; then LOLER applies to you.
