What Is A Tipper Van?

What is a Tipper Van?

A Tipper Van is a commercial vehicle designed for carrying and tipping heavy loads such as construction materials, soil, gravel, or waste. Our Tipper Vans are equipped with a hydraulic tipping mechanism that allows the cargo bed to be raised and emptied, making it ideal for transporting loose materials. The tipping mechanism is controlled by a control panel located in the cab, which allows the driver to operate it safely and easily.

Who uses Tipper Vans?

Tipper Vans are used by a wide range of businesses and organisations that require a vehicle for transporting and delivering heavy loads. They offer a reliable and efficient solution for transporting materials to and from job sites or other locations.

The Tippers have a capacity to transport 3 people in the CAB meaning not only does it transport goods, it transports multiple people as well!! Some of the industries that use Tippers are:

The versatility and efficiency our Tipper Vans offer is great! With many construction sites generating large amounts of debris and waste materials that need to be removed.

A Tipper Van can also be extremely useful with clearing the waste in a shorter number of trips with its variation of payload size with the maximum going up to 1705kg.

Landscaping Companies also use Tipper vans for transporting and delivering materials such as soil, plants and any other materials they may use. They are particularly useful for landscaping projects that require large amounts of materials to be transported to and from a job site.

Waste Removal Companies also use Tipper Vans for transporting and delivering waste materials to landfills or recycling facilities. Tipper Vans are also used for big Government and Council projects that require waste removal.

Also, many, many more organisations…

Our Welfare Fleet Explained!

Our Welfare Van Hire Fleet consists of Peugeot Boxer Welfare vans.

Take a look at our:

Peugeot Boxer Welfare Van For Hire

As a Welfare hire vehicle (sometimes known as Mess Van) our Peugeot Welfare Vans are a great platform for employee transport and facilities combined. We offer a range of Hire periods which are suited to those working on short to long term contracts.

Our Hire Welfare Vans are ideals for those who either need to bolster their fleet with additional vehicles without the need for permanent investment or require a Welfare Van purely for the duration of the contract

We’ve equipped our Welfare Vans for hire with Chapter 8 compliant livery. This means our vans are fitted with reflective strips along the side of the vehicle and Chevrons on the rear. It’s an important factor to consider when looking to Hire a Welfare Vehicle as not all have this signwriting fitted. It is however a legal requirement should your workforce be working on the UKs Highways and the vehicle be in a stationary position.

When is Chapter 8 Livery Required:

  • Roadworks
  • Traffic Management
  • Breakdown Repair & Recovery
  • Groundworks
  • Road Sweeping
  • Roadside Tree Work

This isn’t exhaustive and it’s best to check prior to agreeing to a Welfare Vehicle Hire, whether you’ll need to have Chapter 8 Livery.

  • What can you expect from our Hire Welfare Vans:
  • VOSA tested seating for up to 7 people
  • Unisex toilet
  • Hot and cold-water supply
  • Canteen facilities with sink, microwave, and cooking area
  • Boiling water supply
  • Air extraction units
  • Bespoke storage facilities

We’ve also fitted our Welfare Hire Vehicles with Towbars and Rhino Steps. Though minor additions to a Welfare Vehicle they do provide great benefits.

Having a Welfare Van on hire with towing capabilities will assist in transporting equipment to and around site. Equally the Rhino step aides in the on and off boarding of the workforce, a benefit that shouldn’t be understated when looking to avoid slips, trips and falls on a worksite.

New Welfare Van Hire Available

Welfare Van Lease options Launched

We know given the turbulence of the last 2 trading years it’s not always easy to commit to a long term investment. In fact, we know that not all work sites require a Welfare Unit for 12 months of the year.

You could be working on multiple projects in Rail, Highway maintenance, engineering, regeneration, utilities for limited periods across multiple sites, but without the permanent need of a Crew Van.

Why commit to buying a Welfare Van?
